December II, 1938 Pag8 4 Christmas Season Inspires Festivities Mrs. Richard Makoff, Mr. and Mrs, Sam Makoff, Mr. and Mrs. William Mole, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Staten, Dr. and Mrs. Stanley Neff, and Dr. and Mrs. Louis Miller. Mr. and Mrs. A. Lawrence Higgins, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Larsen, Mr, and Mrs. Joseph F. Ringholz, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Love also were among the guests. Mr. and Mrs. Rex L. Firth, 1694 S. Wasatch Drive and Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Snow, 2901 Millicent were among hosts the past week. The couples entertained at a brunch at the Aviation Club. Westminster College students marked the pre-holida- y season with the aitnual Junior Prom Saturday evening. The Old Mill was the setting for the gala event and was decorated to carry out "A White Christmas." Winona Bassford and Bud Murray were in charge of the festive evening. Among the festive Christ-mas parties of the yule season "was the luncheon hosted by the University of Utah Mothers Club Wednesday. Decorations were planned and arranged by Mrs. Kenneth Madsen, Mrs. Joseph H. Brown and Mrs. Adrian F. Simmons. Entertainment was provided by the East High School Chorus, under the direction of Miss Lorraine Bowman. Brock-ban- k, Mrs. Willard Sterns Hatch, Mrs. James Ingebretsen, and Mrs. Florence M. Evans. Mrs. Nicholas G. Morgan Sr., . Mrs. Robert A. Lundin, Mrs. Charles E. Murdock, Mrs. Eric W. Ryberg, Mrs. George A. Wright, and Mrs. Charles V. Whiting, were among the guests. , A Christmas theme set the mood at the meeting of the Hammond Chord A'Liers Mon-day evening. The well known musical group met at the Elaine Drake Studio, 2349 Highland Drive. Following the program gifts were exchanged. The Gene Donovans, 2253 Logan Ave,, were hosts at a cocktail dinner dance at the country club, Saturday eveni-ng:. . Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Barney Rosenblatt,. Mr. and Revue Presented Patti Snarr's School of Dance presented "Stars of Tomorrow" a dance revue at Hillside Junior High Monday evening. Participating in the pro-duction were fifty advanced students. Grant Stake Drama Directors Repeat Performance ' The Curious Savage," a stake drama production directed by Mr. and Mrs. Murrlle Wilson" which has received such wide and favorable comment will be presented again Dec. 12, at the Third and Fourth Wards of Grant Stake on 11th East and 29th South. Many requests . have been received by the Wilsons, stake drama directors, for a repeat performance which has been termed ' it had all the glamour of a Broadway opening night". The original cast including Janice Dixon, Daniel Witbeck, Fae Throckmorton, Gordon Jones, Adrene Cottam, Lyle Eddington, Arvel S.
