Show Spring Concert To Be Presented By Symphony The Westminster Community Symphony Orchestra will pre sent its fourth annual spring concert Sunday, March 23 at 2:30 pjrv in the Payne Gymnasium Gym-nasium at Westminster College. The 90-piece orchestra is conducted con-ducted by Prof. Kenneth G. Kuchler of the music faculty and assistant concertmaster of the Utah Symphony orchestra. Ben Bullough is assistant conductor. con-ductor. Featured soloist with the orchestra or-chestra will be Miss Angelina Kravich, mezzo - soprano of Fresno, California, and a junior jun-ior at Westminster. Miss Kra- vich, will join the orchestra in the aria from "Semele," "Where'er You Walk" by Handel, Han-del, and the "Four Serious Songs" by Brahms. Orchestra numbers will include in-clude the Rimsky-Korsakov "Polonaise" from the opera "Christmas Night;f the Fried-mann Fried-mann "Slavonic Rhapsody;" the Don Gillis "Tango Lullaby;" Lulla-by;" the Leroy Anderson "Song of the Bells," and the Schumann Schu-mann Second Symphony. The public is invited, and there will be no admission charge. Membership in the orchestra is drawn from adult musicians of the city, college and high school students. Musical quality qual-ity of the group is at an exceptional ex-ceptional high this season. |
