Show Four-City Eagles Auxiliary Ladies Attend Impressive Initiation Rites Held in Ogden A bus load of ladies from Murray, Mur-ray, Bingham - Midvale and Salt Lake Auxiliaries of the Fraternal Order of Eagles motored to Ogden the evening of Oct. 23 to attend the annual visitation of Auxiliary 2472 in that city. In a hall beautifully decorated in the motif of the season, the visitors witnessed a very impressive impres-sive initiation ceremony of eight new club members, after which the presidents of the visiting Auxiliaries Aux-iliaries introduced themselves and reported the number of members present. More than two hundred ladies enjoyed a lucious meal prepared and served under the direction of Evelyn Hill, and certainly the decorations de-corations committee, headed by Phoebe Lund, should be commended commen-ded for the lovely decorations. Among the honored guests were five of the past State Madam Presidents: Pre-sidents: Jr. Past Madam President Presi-dent Neva Hawkins and Past Madam Ma-dam Presidents, Semla Harvay, jCecelia Doyle, Dorothy Wilding, tand Esther Hodges. State officers who were in attendance at-tendance included Jr. Past Madam President Neva Hawkins,- Madam President Vivian Leavitt, Madam Vice - President, Merle Gunner-son, Gunner-son, Chaplain, Reta Lincoln; Conductor, Con-ductor, Nina Ore; Secretary, Dorothy Dor-othy Mischke; Treasurer, Elva O'Brian: Inside Guard. Flor- ence Smith; . Outside Guard, Nellie Nel-lie Curtis; Trustees, Thelma Clark Velma Todd, Alda Slaughter and' Helen Vlasis. Trustee Darlene Da- vis of Moab, was unable to attend the meeting. Also present were State Auxiliary Mother, Rozella Lowe and Historian, Erma Haynes. Presided over by Ogden's Mad-j am President Marion Berkley, the evening was ' concluded . by an am-: am-: using entertainer and by the distri-: distri-: bution of many lovely door prizes. ; Receiving guests at the door I were Past Madam Presidents, Ar-' Ar-' villa Chase and Lois Code, of the Ogden Auxiliary. |
