Rich, Utah's Adjutant General, issued an appeal to veterans of the Armed Forces to join the Utah National Guard. General Rich said there are a number of vacancies in units throughout the State for qual-ified veterans who are special-ized in communications, radar, fire direction, heavy equipment operators, construction foreman and gunnery. In addition to the distinction and prestige of being a "citizen soldier" serving their State and Nation, Guards-men are offered a substantial extra income and an un-paralleled retirement program. Often members of the Utah National Guard receive special consideration by their em-ployers because of leadership and special technical skills they have developed through Nat-ional Guard training. This is especially true in the fields of heavy construction and elec-tronics. The man who completes 20 years service in the Utah National Guard advancing at the average rate will receive over $25,000.00 in pay for at-tendance at Armory Drills and Field Training and in retirement benefits. This averages more than $6.00 per hour. Veterans with prior service receive con-siderably more. The objective of this member-ship drive is to enroll at least 160 veterans throughout the State of Utah. Veterans are urged to visit their local National Guard Armories and discuss opportun-ities available to them. NOTICE TO CREDITORS Estate of Agnes Jane McOmie Tripp, Deceased.
