The qualified make-u- p artist studied in Hollywood and New York. She taught correct make up application in New Yorks Earlizon Modeling School, school cf some of the nation's leading' models. When asked her advice on wo-ma- ns most common error in applying make-up- , she stated, "Very few women can actually style their eyebrows correctly without first having them styled professionally." We find in our Salon that eyebrows play a sig-nificant role in good grooming. I will even g-- so far as to say eyebrows can simply ruin an otherwise perfect hair style. It Happened nt The BEAU La Rae McManama On Thursday the SUGARIIOUSE Board Meeting was held at the BEAU. Mrs. L. F. GREENSIDES was hostess to four guests for brldjre and a luncheon. Mr. DENNIS MURPIH, loca Softball Association official had fifteen guests for a dinner and business meeting on Friday after-noon. Wednesday afterncpn the Sugar House Chamber of Commer-ce enjoyed a luncheon which was followed by a buisness meeting of the members. Mrs. St. Clair Weaver of 1 .'27 White Ave. was hostess for eight guests for lunch and a bridge party on Friday afternoon. Friday at noon the Hyland Vi-llage Business men met for a luncheon which was given to honor Mr. Taylor Burton of the State Road Commission. Geis is serving as --nlv officer and is currently stationed at the Lake Charles, ::; .:r : erct sc. i -- i the recent disasterous hurricane Audrey which struck at the Louisiana coast, Lt. G-- :s r- -d other officers and men of tho Lake Charles Base assisted in th rescue work. Lt. Geis is a graduate of S utn High and the Universitv of Utah where he received ROTC training which has assisted him rr?atly in the military caroer wMch has chosen. While at tha Un-iversity Lt. Geis also played b".s-ba- ll on the varsity team and upon his graduation he received offers from the Brooklyn Dodger organization. He played one year for Union City, New Jersry be-fore moving up to the parent Brooklyn Club. He is currently continuing his interest in base-ball at the' Lake Chtrles base where he is playing manager for their team. He has approximatly one year remaining of military service ana states that his plans for that time are as yet still undecided. Ping pong, baseball and other sports of the outdoors were on the agenda preceeding the meal which was presented by the building committee. Proceeds of the party were added to the building fund. In charge of it was Clarence Tuttle, chairman of the building committee, Relief Society, the Elders and Seventy Quorums. It was a very successful affair. Mrs. Weiler Hostess To Guests At Birthday Luncheon Mrs. Grant W. Weiler Sr., entertained at a luncheon honor-ing the birthday of her sister Mrs Grace Risse and Mrs. Margaret Heckert, San Francisco and Mrs. Mae Stark, McGill, Nevada. The lovely affair was held on the majestic patio of the Weiler home at 2511 Evergreen. Also present were Mrs. Frank Zaccheo, Mrs. Fred Cortese and children, Terry, Julia and Linda and Mrs. Grant Weiler Jr., and Randy, Lynn, Patty, Kent 'and Jeff. The young children pre-sented the honored with gifts. Mrs. Zaccheo left for a vaca-tion in Boise with her daughter and family. MIA Valley View 6th Held Outing At Fairmont The Valley View 6th Ward MIA held an outing at Fairmont Park Wednesday evening. The evening's diversion includ-ed games, eats, and square dancing led by Wilford Marwedell. Mar-jea- n Robbins, president, was in charge of the affair and the en-tire ward joined in the festivities. Holladay First Ward is holding their annual reunion July 20 at the Ward House. A dinner will be followed by a program and square dancing. Richard Ross is the Bish-op and is in charge of the re-union. |
