Show 4 tfl Audiences To Experence Deep Emotions In 'The Brave One' "The Brave One," announced as a $2,000,000 picture produced im CinemaScope and Technicolor for RKO by the King Brothers, now playing at Southeast Theatre. Filmed in Mexico, the new picture pic-ture introduces as its star a 10-year-old film prodigy, Michel Ray, said to be one of Hollywood's most interesting "discoveries" since the era of the two famous Jackie?, Coogan and Cooper. Yourg Ray will appear in the role of a Mexican country boy, central character of the Robert Rich story. Drama deals with the youngster's love for a pet bull, his constant companion from birth until tagged for mortal combat in Mexico's City's Plaza de Mexico bullfight arena. Screen play by Harry Franklin and Merrill G. White is said to have captured the true emotional essence of the situation as the boy gradually becomes aware of the animal's plight and struggles to delay and perhaps circumvent the hour of doom. "The Brave One" was awarded an Oscar for the best story of the year. |
