Show Lab Equipment Presented To Westminster Through the generosity of Eric C. Aaberg, general manager man-ager of the Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Co., that organization has turned over to Westminster College a motor generator set consisting of a 20 HP, threephase, 230 volt motor and control panel for laboratory experimental work at the College. The generator is a 200 ampere direct current machine, and was formerly used in the telephone system. The approximately half ton of equipment was transferred from the Sugar House station of the company to the college by a crew of students. The generator will be used for laboratory la-boratory experiments, including electroplating, charging batteries bat-teries and a number of electra-chemical electra-chemical operations where direct current supply can be utilized. The equipment has been installed in-stalled in one of the engineering laboratory rooms in the basement base-ment of Ferry Hall on the College Col-lege campus. |
