Show location of federal aid road tobe to be submitted to taxpayers attorney ray B E Di dillman lIman who ath J p may of roosevelt and dan berry of myton went to salt lake city to urge that the new federal aid road be built over the bench returned home monday mr dillman says that they succeeded in getting the promise of 0 the chairman of the federal aid commission and the state road commission ithac they will come out and hold a meeting with the people interested as soon as the estimates are ready it will require about two months longer to complete these estimates at ji present resent no definite figures are available as aa to the probable costs of either ot of the proposed routes while in salt lake mr air dillman attended several sessions of 0 the state legislature ile he believes that the establishment of 0 an experiment station in the uintah basin at this time is very unlikely as is the governor and legislature are following a a course of c rigid economy and not expected to make the necessary appropriation pria tion the lewis bill which proposes to tax tas trucks and passenger cars is ree receiving iving strong support and will abely be ba enacted as it is felt that baere trucks and cars run parallel to the railroads on pavement built the state that they have an un r advantage over the ithe railroads ine ive stations between salt lake and len jen have been closed because of I 1 jib jib competition of trucks however ltha lh basins representatives realize lill thit t such a tax would be a serious I 1 hardship haid ship to those living in the basin as ag they have no other means of shipping their freight and efforts will be made to have the bill so amended so that it will not apply to this patt part of the state |
