Show FUNERAL SERVICES FOR INDIAN HELD funeral services were held last sunday oct 19 in the mt aft home ward chapel for or sam robinson an indian who died at altonah alzonah last saturday night of pneumonia it la Is reported he had been sick about ten days when the end came about 11 p M saturday night oct 18 1924 his body was brought to mt aft home about I 1 sunday when mr air miller and companion ot of myton brought the casket services were held at 2 p in with bishop albert jenson conducting the choir sang 1 I know my aly heavenly father knows 1 I need thee every hour and when the mists have cleared away george stott offered the opening prayer the speakers were patriarch oscar wilkins and H A pace both speaking words ot of comfort and consolation to the bereaved there was a large cro clovd d of 0 white neighbors and friends present as well as about twenty indians the benediction i was offered by L M miles allies the deceased was peaceable and honest and highly respected by all his white friends he Is survived by his wife and three step daughters other relatives and many friends after the services the remains were taken over to the dick wader place on rock creek where the grave was dug and burial completed on monday the grave wa dedicated by clyde rowley mt home correspondent |
