S L BUSINESS MEN LEAVE TO INSPECT ROADS INTO UINTAH with the object ol of getting first hand information on uintah basin roads especially the winter roads entering the basin a delegation from the chamber of 0 commerce lett left salt lake city friday oct 24 on an inspection trip nepal L handeg Han sec chairman of the special state committee on the uintah basin roads W H ellison chairman ot of the better roads committee and J H rayburn secretary ot of the chamber were included until a railroad is built the chamber 0 of commerce is determined to do everything possible to keep the utah uintah basin roads in condition to attract trade to the salt lake side rather than the eastern exit according to an announcement following the board of governors meeting thursday under present laws the state road commission may only provide tor for use ot of federal road funds to match money raised by duchesne and aln tah county however last season the postal service aided in keeping roads open there will be an effort made to secure a special road expendable pen dable in any part of the state by the road read commission at the next legislature in the meantime some other financial plan may be necessary
