Show SEVENTH GRADE the pupils of the seventh grade of the roosevelt school visited the standard office wednesday for instructions as how a weekly newspaper is run A great many questions were asked among them being how do you get the material to fill a newspaper how is the paper printed where do you get your local news from what source does a newspaper derive its revenue edue after answering all their ques tins and they a bit timid in asking them going through the evolutions of printing a paper on a washington cwashington hand press and explaining how the big dailies print on the perfecting presses how we have to scheme at times to get little items it effis of news and then winding up by explaining the sunny side of an editors life the is what is known as a one man shop the editor is also the compositor th the ad man an and id the devil and just as they came in I 1 was feeding a job on the press consequently a part of the clubs work this was giving boys arid and girls a practical lesson in education it was something that in any of the books doks and the visit was as much mach enjoyed by ye editor as it was by the students |
