Show LAPOINT Mrs. Mablo Jenkins Gold - Green Ball Held By Ward The annual Lapoint Gold and Green Ball was held in the La-point La-point chapel. The highlight of the evening was the floor show and the crowning of the queen which was Myrna Taylor. The theme was "The Blue Shirt Waltz," and 'The Empire Waltz" which was done by a mixea group of Juniors, M Men, Mia Maids, Jr. Gleaners and Special Interest members. "The Blue Shirt Waltz," was danced by the Bee Hive girls. The theme song was sung by Delone Rich and a solo ballet was done by Illene Neumeyer. Visitors were Mrs. O'Neil, Miss Eva Merkley and Miss Grace Manwaring. Olie Justice went to Salt Lake City Monday morning on business. busi-ness. Mr. and Mrs. William Casto, of Salt Lake City, spent last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs Frank Jenkins and family. Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Foster and Mr. and Mrs. Weston Jus- tice werit to Salt Lake City on a business trip. Jerry Rich returned to Meeker. Meek-er. Colo, on Monday, where he has employment, after spending the weekend with his family. Mrs. Martha Jobb, of San Francisco, Calif., is visiting with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Labrum and family. fam-ily. Donald Rasmussen, of Ogden, visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulen Rasmussen, and family. fam-ily. His parents accompanied him home for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Harrison Harri-son and son, David, of Bingham Canyon, visited his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Tuesday Tues-day evening. The Lapoint school teachers, Mrs. Thelma Lee, Mrs. George Thompson, Mrs. Ella Justice, and Mrs. Cynthia Taylor, attended at-tended Teachers' Institute in Vernal last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Anderson Ander-son received the sad news Monday Mon-day morning that Lew Bills had passed away at his home in Bingham Canyon. i Miss Colleen Reid and Darrell Gardner were married Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Hullinger, of Vernal, visited Mr. and Mrs. J Golden Winn and Mae Sprousej last Friday. Mr. Hullinger has his discharge from the service. Jerry Harvey, of Clearfield, came in and took his wife and new baby son to their home, Monday, at Clearfield. Wayne Perry, of Meeker, Cal-, orado', visited with friends in Lapoint and attended the grave-I, grave-I, side services for D. L. Bills, Thursday. |
