Show Fire Fighters Field Day fleet An all day field meeting of the Utah Cooperative Fire Fighting Fight-ing organization was held May 16 at Whiterocks. In attendance were over 50 men representing 11 federal, state, and county groups interested in fire fighting. fight-ing. Agencies participating included includ-ed the Utah State Board of Forestry For-estry and Fire Control, five federal fed-eral agencies including the Forest For-est service, Park service, Fish and Wildlife service, Bureau of Land Management, and Indian service; the Utah State Road Commission, Utah State Game department, Utah State Highway High-way Patrol, sheriffs and deputies I from Uintah and Duchesne coun ties, and the Vernal City Fire department. The group met with the object of learning the latest methods of teaching fire fighting technique. tech-nique. The key men who completed com-pleted the one-day school are now prepared to instruct the fire fighters who will come under un-der their supervision during the forthcoming fire season. The program, under the general gen-eral direction of Glen A. Lam-bertj Lam-bertj Vernal forest ranger, stressed stress-ed training techniques. After a short session in the auditorium at Whiterocks, the group went into the field, and put their knowledge into practice on an actual test fire in an area along the Uinta river.
