Show Charles Timothy Preferred Man At RJ.H.S. Girls' Day, under the sponsorship sponsor-ship of the F.H.A. Club and physical phy-sical education classes was held last Friday at the Roosevelt Junior Jun-ior High School, with mothers as guests of the girls through the assembly, lunch, fashion show and, dance festival. Boys held a track meet from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on the athletic field. The Girls' Day dance .climaxed the day's activities, with Charles Timothy being named the "Preferred "Pre-ferred Man," receiving a gift of cuff links and matching tie clasp. The dance was themed to "Blue Moon," indicating a great deal of work by the committee.- Decorations Decora-tions were beautifully portrayed to the theme. Various committees responsible for the most successful event were as follows: Dance posters, Marsha Lusty, Inez Burgess; dance, F.H.A.; refreshments, re-freshments, Laura Fredrickson, Kaye Chugg and Velma Fenn; Mothers' program, Arvella Eksund; dance programs, Elaine Richens; decorations, Joyce Sweat, with officers of-ficers in charge. F.H.A. officers are: President, Regina Reay; vice-president, Arvella Ar-vella Eksund; secretary, Faith Dye and reporter, Kaye Chugg. Faculty advisor is Mrs. Neil-sen. Neil-sen. Mrs. Hancock is girls' physical phy-sical education director; Mrs. Rig-gle Rig-gle is in charge of exhibits and Mrs. Hutchings, newspaper. |
