Show Delta Phi Chorus To Appear In Concert Saturday The Delta Phi Chorus is scheduled sched-uled to appear in Roosevelt on the 14th day of May. The show will start at 8:00 p.m. in the Roosevelt stake house. Tickets for the program may be purchased from any bishopric or at the door. Appearing with the Delta Phi Chorus will be the Y-Olins, a group of girl violinists from the BYU Symphony orchestra. They are Anne Johnson, 1st violin from Springville, Utah; Betty Hoover, from Springville; Lyn Hales, of Salt Lake City; Cleone Hurren, of Nampa, Idaho, and Barbara String-ham String-ham from Elgin, Oregon. Their accompanist ac-companist is Maxine Stuart, from Sailt Lake City. The Y-Olins have been active the past two years at the "Y." They have represented the BYU in many shows and programs pro-grams west of the Rocky Mountains. Moun-tains. The Operatunists, a girls' vocal quartet, will also appear on the program. They are Myrna Rollins, from Bountiful; Lois Telford, of Vallejo, Calif.; Kate McGuire, of Heber, and LaRae Cowley, from Phoenix, Arizona. These girls are all members of the Opera Workshop Work-shop and are excellent soloists. Richard Robison, a talented baritone bar-itone from Taylorsville, Utah, will demonstrate his tripple treat of singing, playing the trumpet, and whistling a duet. Richard is a member of the famed Madrigal Chorus at the "Y" and has toured with Fred Waring. A special treat of the program will be the presentation of Frances Fran-ces Atterton, the Dream Girl of Delta Phi. Frances comes to the "Y" from Chehalis, Wash. She is a part of the Opera Workshop and is a very outstanding soprano. As Dream Girl, Frances represents the Dream Girl of every member of the fraternity. She was chosen from the many girls at BYU who have high ideals and who are the Dream Girls of the students there. |
