Show Violet Gentry Bertha Angus MOTHERS HONORED AT SUNDAY PROGRAM "Mission of Motherhood" was the theme of the following Mother's Moth-er's Day program, given in Sunday Sun-day School, Sunday: Remarks, by Supt. Edmund Webb; poem, Lyle Lemon; a Mother's Day song, Rena, Janet and Diane Russell, accompanied accom-panied by Gertrude Russell; poem, -' "With All Thy Might," Jean Lloyd; three classes gave a demonstration demonstra-tion on "What Our Mothers Teach;" poems, Lee Stone and -Gloria Robison; talk, by a Mother, Deloris Lloyd; talk, by a grandmother, grand-mother, Mary Percival; talk by member of bishopric, Russel Robison; Robi-son; benediction, Bertha Angus. Etta Webb accompanied Mrs. Ben Webb and family to Salt Lake City, Saturday and returned the same day. We are glad to hear that Mrs. Robert Marchant, who has been in a hospital at Provo for some time, is sufficiently improved to leave the hospital. She is convalescing conval-escing at present in Salt Lake. Mrs. McDonna Lemon and children chil-dren visited Sunday afternoon with her mother at Upalco. John Percival and two other boys from', the FFA class at Union High School, accompanied Sharon Cummings, teacher, to Logan, Friday, Fri-day, as a judging team. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Percival and Mrs. John Angus and Mrs. Glen Remund, of Duchesne, went to Provo Tuesday to attend funeral funer-al services for George C. Angus, a brother of the late John A. Angus An-gus and James C. Angus, both pioneers of the Basin. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lloyd visited with Mr. and Mrs. Marrion Harrison Harris-on in Roosevelt, Sunday. Visitors at Sunday School Sunday Sun-day from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Junior Fausett and son, of Roosevelt; Mr. and Mrs. Dee Drollinger and two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Barth Stone and son, Char-lene Char-lene Stone, all of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Green and son, of Roy, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brown and daughter, of Sandy. MISSED LAST WEEK was the blessing of the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. James Zobell. He was blessed May 1 and given the name of Allen Ward. |
