Show MIA Cub Scouts Hold Outing The Myton LDS Mutual Improvement Im-provement Association groups and the Cub Scouts, Den No. 1, participated par-ticipated in an outing at Lake Bor-en Bor-en Friday afternoon. The Cubs have been holding their meetings at the lake to carry out their theme Regatta, for the month of July and the Mutual groups joined to make it a party. Four large boats and three small ones were prepared to give everyone a boat ride. About 60 people were present. pre-sent. The parents were invited tp attend the outing. Mrs. Anna Mur ray, Den Mother of the Cubs and Wilmer Murray assisted in the festivities while their daughter, Mrs. John Tucker and their son, Jerry were life guards. Mrs. John Tucker was complimented compli-mented at a surprise party on Thursday evening at the home of her parents, Mr., and' Mrs Wilmer Murray, when five boys with their parents gathered to express their appreciation for her assistance to the boys during the summers of 1955 and 1956. Mrs. Tucker who holds a masters degree in physical physi-cal education has taught the boys swimming while on her vacations in Myton. Present were Robert Duke, La Von Edwards, Wayne Martin, Buddy Holgate and Floyd Nielsen and the following parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rollen Duke, Mrs. Vern Edward's, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Martin, Mrs. Frank Holgate Hol-gate and Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Nielsen. The boys presented Mrs. Tucker and her tiny daughter with a gift each. They also prepared pre-pared and served a lunch. Mrs. M. Verona Winkler of Bluebell was a weekend visitor at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Murray. Mrs. Carlos Roberts and family were visitors at the home of her mother, Mrs. Lydia Peatross. Mrs. Erma Harris left Sunday for Salt Lake City to spend a few days visiting at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Max Peatross. Mrs. Homer Robinson returned Sunday from Salt Lake City after spending a week with her daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Buckner and their infant son, born. Friday, July 13. The young mother is the former Faye Robinson. |
