Show I Reservation News ... I $ About The $ UINTAH-OURAY INDIAN RESERVATION By June Cook FINAL ROLLS COMPLETED Elizabeth Baumgarner, roll clerk, reports that under the supervision of Supt, John O. Crow and Norman Nor-man Holmes, chief clerk, the final rolls of the mixed blood group and the full blood group were complied compli-ed and mailed from the agency Thursday for publication in the Federal Register, with a total of 1.314 for the full blood roll and 490 for the mixed blood roll'. During Dur-ing -the 60 day appeal period, 173 appeals were filed and from those appeals 15 full bloods were transferred trans-ferred to the mixed bloods, 7 from the mixed bloods transferred to the' full bloods, 3 new enrollments on the mixed blood roll approved by the Secretary of the Interior and 2 were added that were left off the proposed rolls published in the' National. Register Feb. 2, 1955. R-N Miss Nell McKeever, health education ed-ucation consultant from the Division Di-vision of Indian Health Service, Washington, D. C, arrived here Monday. She is one of three assigned as-signed to three different reservations reserva-tions to carry on exploratory programs pro-grams in health education. We are very happy to have Miss McKeever here and wish her much success with her new assignment on this reservation. R-N Mr. and Mrs. AI Parriett and daughter were dinner guests of the Wilson Johnson Thursday evening. eve-ning. R-N Mrs, Earl Gardner left last week for Phoenix, Arizona to be with her brother, Ferris Winn, and family, fam-ily, while Mrs. Winn undergoes an operation. Mr. and Mrs. Winn were Ft. Duchesne residents before moving mov-ing to Phoenix. R-N Chas. J. Carter, special officer, is on the sick list this week and is in Salt Lake receiving medical, attention. R-N The monthly social meeting of the mixed blood group was held Saturday night in the Ft. Duchesne Du-chesne Community Building. Fish and Game and Law and Order on the reservation were discussed, also al-so a quorum was established consisting con-sisting of 30 eligible voters attending at-tending regular meetings and 25 eligible voters attending special meetings in order to do business at these gatherings, A pot-luck supper was served to the large group attending. R-N The annual' Myton Cattle Asso ciation meeting was held Friday at the' Community Building. An election of officers was held as follows: fol-lows: president, Preston Allen; vice-president, Harvey Natchees; , secretary, Sylvia Oberhansly; treasurer, Claude Nebeker. Directors Direct-ors are: John Daniels, Juanita Allen Al-len and Claude Taylor. Foster Lamb gave a talk on PMA advantages advan-tages and the members voted all delinquent range fees be paid before be-fore going on the range this year. Luncheon was served, followed by movies shown by A. A. Perry, extension ex-tension agent. R-N A. A.
