Show ' (DEATHS RANS A. JACOBSON ALTONAH (Special) Hans A. Jacobson, 76, Altonah farmer farm-er and stockman, died Thursday morning at 3 a. m.. May 15, at his home following a lingering illness. A son of Rasmus and Anna M. Larsen Jacobson, he was born December 31, 1875 in Ephraim, Sanpete County. He married Mary E. Miller, May 10, 1899 in Emery. Their marriage mar-riage was later solemnized in . the L D S Temple at Manti. She died Feb. 4, 1952. Mr. Jacobson moved to the Uintah Basin in 1910, living in Roosevelt the first winter, then moving to Altonah the following follow-ing spring, where he took up a homestead.. Prior to that he had been engaged in the sawmill business in Emery County. He was a high priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an ac-j ac-j tive member up until the time of his illness. Survivors include one son, Jerald Jacobson, Altonah; a daughter, Mrs. Helene Oman, Salt Lake City; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Sorensen Emery; and one brother, Lewis Jacobson, Emery; one half brother, James Jacobson Axtell, Sanpete County; Coun-ty; one half sister, Mrs. Anna Ward, Beaver; and five grandchildren. grand-children. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted in the Altonah Ward Chapel Sunday, May 18, at 1:30 p. m., under the direction of Bishop J. Arthur Timothy, and burial was in the Altonah Cemetery, Cem-etery, under direction of the Olpin Mortuary, of Roosevelt. |
