Show County Passed Again On Boys For Draft Again Selective Service Board No. 7 of Duchesne County has received word from Utah State headquarters headquar-ters that they will not need to furnish any men for induction in-duction into the armed services ser-vices for the June-induction call. No men were inducted in May. Donnell G. Brookway, of Myton, is a new enlistee in the Air Force. He enlisted at Fort Douglas on April 30. and will cook breakfast for other sportsmen arriving there Saturday morning. Oscar Beebe, in charge of thc-migratory thc-migratory waterfowl committee, will- take his group to the ponds at the head of Boreham diversion diver-sion canal and Lake Boreham to collect samples of duck food and to explore for nesting ducks in both locations. They will also plant duck millett to provide additional food so more ducks will stay and nest in our county. The big game committee headed by Weston Bates, will tour the winter range of our deer herds to determine how the forage has survived and whether reseeding can be accomplished. ac-complished. All tours and classes are to acquaint as many people as possible with the work being done by our club and to teach good conservation practices prac-tices that will insure good hunting hunt-ing and fishing for generations yet to come, as well as to improve im-prove the present harvest of our game and resources. So far as is known, the Duchesne Du-chesne Fish and Game Ass'n is the first club to' successfully plan and conduct such seminars. Attention of sportsmen's organizations organ-izations all over the state are focused on the Duchesne group to see what can be accomplished during these seminars. |
