Show MIA Has Program, Awards Presented The MIA group of Moffatt ward were in charge of the Sunday evening program and the theme carried out was "The Glory of God is Intelligence." Six special individual awards were given to Rose Mary and Bonnie Bon-nie Daniels, Cuba Case, Joy Bowden, Bow-den, Judy Arnold and Shirley All-red. All-red. Also a Bee Hive award went to Charlotte Clark. Speakers were Joy Bowden and Bishop Perry. Ruth Beardall sang "He That Hath Clean Hands," accompanied ac-companied by Jeraldine Denver, and a saxophone solo was played by Bonnie Daniels. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Harris, of Fort Washakie, Wyoming, are here visiting at the home of Mrs. Mary Harris. Jack is Mrs. Harris' son. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Coleman and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Olpin and families motored to Heber, Saturday Satur-day evening to attend a surprise party in honor of their father, Joseph Olpin. A turkey dinner was served to 40 guests. John Daniels left Friday for San Francisco to meet his wife, who has been visiting there. They will both return this week. Gordon Harmston, of the Frontier Fron-tier Grill, reports the Old Chief hasn't been in for the free steak dinner yet, and wants him to know it's still waiting So, Old Chief, make yourself known, at least at the Grill. Mrs. Lorena Iorg was in charge of the dinner and reception for the visitors of the National Con-1 gress of Indians. |
