Show Accountant flew President Of Lions Clubs S. A. Dodge, Detroit, Michigan, Michi-gan, is the new president of the International Association oi Lions Clubs, (Lions International) Internation-al) He was elected by unanimous unani-mous vote at the 36th annual convention of the Association which met at the Chicago Stadium. Stad-ium. Dodge succeeds Edgar M. Elbert, Maywood. Illinois. Dodge was graduated from the University of Michigan School of Business Administration Administra-tion in 1917 and became a Certified Cer-tified Public Accountant in 1922 after having served two years with the Air Force during World War I. He has been financially finan-cially interested in various business bus-iness enterprises since that time and is presently vice-president and treasurer of Solventol Chemical Products, Inc., Detroit. He is also a member of the board of directors of several business institutions in Detroit and for many years has been a member of the board of management man-agement of the Detroit Y.M.C.A. He was one of the original incorporators in-corporators of Leader Dogs for the Blind of Rochester, Michigan. Michi-gan. Lion Dodge is a Key Member Mem-ber in the Northwest Lions club of Detroit, and is a past president presi-dent of that club. He has also held various offices in his district, dis-trict, and was district governor of the Lions Clubs of District 11, Lower Michigan, during the 1937-38 fiscal year. President Dodge is a Mason a member of Lotus Lodge No. 549, F & A. M.. and all Scottish Rite bodies in Detroit. He is married and resides at 14036 Rodson Avenue in Detroit. He has two children, both married Catherine, who resides in Detroit De-troit with her family, and John a Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. |
