Show Scouts Leave For Jamboree Those from Altonah going on the Boy Scout Jamboree July 11 to Irvine Ranch, in California Califor-nia were. Scoutmaster Linford Maxfield, and Scouts Donal Kolb and Grant Mohlman. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Bcswell and boys, of Ogden, visitad Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe, Saturday Satur-day afternoon, July 4th. They also visited with Mr. Boswell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Volney Boswell, of Mt. Emmons. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Clark and family, of Bonanza, spent the weekendX at the home of Mr. Clark's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Clark, and a brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs Fenton Powell. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Anderson Ander-son and family, of Salt Lake City, brought Mrs. Mary Bow-den Bow-den and Norita Bowden home Sunday after a 10 day visit in the city. Mr. Anderson returned hohie, while Mrs. Anderson and family will stay for a week's visit with her mother. Albert Clark was transacting business in Jensen and Vernal on Tuesday. Visitors at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Burgess and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Allred last week were Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Burgess, of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tayson, of Pocatello, Idaho, and Jesse Heath, of Orem. Or-em. Mr. and Mrs. Amon Case and family, of Midview, visited at the horne of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Case and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden during the week. Mr. and Mrs. James Clark and daughters, of Vernal, visited visit-ed with Mr. Clark's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Clark, and sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Powell last week. Loreen and Tammy stayed stay-ed on for a longer visit. Other visitors with the Clarks and Powells over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Ivin Karren. of Bonanza, and Mr. and Mrs. Nick Tallerico, of Dragerton. Mrs. Reva Martin, of Tulsa. Oklahoma, and Mr .and Mrs. Lloyd Martin, of Kansas, visited at the homes of Albert and Roy Young, .Wednesday. Leon Carroll of the U. S. Navy, and Shanna Atwood, of Fresno, Calif., left Tuesday evening eve-ning for California, after a three weeks visit with Leon's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll., and Shanna's sister, Mrs. Ty Kolb and family. Leon is to report re-port to his ship, U.S.S. Prairie, in San Diego, July 11th. Mrs. Ty Kolb and twins, Tyrone and Karren, accompanied them for a visit with relatives in California. Califor-nia. A large crowd of people from Altonah attended a meeting of the R.E.A. at Altamont Rodeo grounds, Friday, July 10th. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Pope and son, of Randolph, Utah, returned return-ed home Monday after a week's visit with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ol-sen. Ol-sen. Mrs. Pope and Mrs. Olsen are sisters. John Barnes, of Ev- anston, Wyoming, a nephew cf Mrs. Olsen, and who just te-turned te-turned home from Korea, was also visiting the Olsen's during the week. |
