Show BIRTHDAY PARTY HONORS MRS. PEGGY WARDLE Monday evening the first year Bee Hive girls entertained in honor hon-or of Peggy Wardle's 12th birthday. birth-day. Games were played and refreshments re-freshments were served by the group. They met at the home of their class leader, Mrs. Mildred Brough. The first Relief Society meeting of the year was held Tuesday. Class leader, Nina Clark, gave the lesson. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Brough and family, of Grand Junction, Colo., are visiting with relatives here. Grant Pickup made a business trip to Salt Lake City, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. LaRue Pickup and Mrs. Ada Pickup went to Provo, Sunday morning to visit Mrs. La-Rue La-Rue Pickup's mother. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Brough and daughter, Sandra, spent Wednesday Wednes-day and Thursday visiting in Grand Junction, Colo. Don Lewis and Mrs. Donna Anderson, An-derson, of Roosevelt, spent Thursday Thurs-day visiting at the home of Mrs. Carol Lewis. The Singing Mothers held a sing-inging sing-inging practice Friday evening at the ward house. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Lewis and family moved Saturday to Layton, where they will make their home. Speakers at Sacrament meeting Sunday were Lee Jensen and Clifford Clif-ford Drollinger. Louis Harris, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin J. Harris. Mr. and Mrs. Neldon Wall, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend visiting at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wall. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Durfee and daughter, Janet, of Salt Lake City, and their daughter, Delsa, of Provo, Pro-vo, were weekend visitors here. The Durfees are former residents. The Durfees attended Sunday's meetings here. Mrs. Melba Bolton of Roosevelt, attended Sunday's meetings also. Mrs. Bolton is a daughter of the Durfees. Richard Durfee is visiting this week at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fahy Durfee. Miss Zina Wall, of Salt Lake City, was a recent visitor at the home of her sister, Mrs. Hannah Harris. Visitors at the J. E. Jensen home Sunday were Mrs. Violate Bradshaw and Mrs. Lucy Jensen, of Vernal and Mr. and Mrs. Norton Nor-ton Shelton and son of Roosevelt. Mrs. Charles Wahlquist and children, Clayton and Peggy, of Othello, Washington, are visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mariner McMuIlen. Mr. and Mrs. Mariner McMuIlen and Mrs. Colleen Wahlquist attended at-tended the funeral service of George Funk Friday at Myton. Mr. Funk was a brother-in-law of Mrs. McMuIlen. Miss Kay Johnson, of Vernal, ' spent Sunday visiting at the Mariner Mar-iner McMuIlen home. Mr. and Mrs. Van Jensen and daughter Lydia, of Salt Lake City, were overnight visitors Sunday night at the Edgar Jensen home. Neldon Wall, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend visiting at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wall. Mr. and Mrs. Gam Bodily and family, of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Pearl Jenkins, of Roosevelt, were dinner guests, Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mariner McMuIlen. Mrs. Jenkins is Mrs. Mc Mullen's mother, and Mrs. Bodily Bod-ily is her sister. |
