Federal Building Possible Mr. Dixon, who is completing his first year in Washington as the representative from District 1, was rather encouraging for a federal fed-eral building for Roosevelt. He was made conscious of the need of a building by a committee from the Chamber of Commerce headed by Floyd Labrum, chairman. He assured the group he would do all in his power to get such an appropriation. REA Problem Aired Another problem placed before the congressman was by a group of members of the Moon Lake Electric Association, an REA financed fi-nanced cooperative, who asked the congressman's advice relative to a proposal that the headquarters of the association be moved from Altamont to Vernal or Roosevelt. He assured the delegation he would conduct an investigation and make a report to them. Following his visit at Vernal in the morning where he spoke to the Uintah High students, and held a similar clinic, and in Duchesne county in the afternoon and evening, eve-ning, Mr. Dixon moved on to Carbon, Car-bon, Emery, San Juan and Grand counties for similar activities. |
