Show 1 Proposed School Budget is Reported By Stutz The 1955-56 fiscal year proposed pro-posed tentative budget amounts to $1,195,158 for the Duchesne County School District, reports Supt. Rowan C. Stutz, district budget officer. The adopted budget bud-get for the past school year was $970,100. A public hearing on the 1955-56 1955-56 tentative budget was held June 30, at the Board of Education Educa-tion offices in Duchesne. Approval Approv-al and adoption is to be made at this meeting of the proposed revised re-vised budget for the fiscal year 1954-55. Supt. Stutz explained that the difference between the revised 1954- 55 budget and the proposed 1955- 56 budget would be considerably consid-erably less than the proposed budget bud-get for 1955-56 and the 1954-55 adopted budget. The 1955-56 budget increase represents but some $5,000 in operating op-erating expense which includes the normal increase in teacher salaries sal-aries and the salary of a new district staff member as guidance director. Chief budget increases are in the building program and for other oth-er capital expenditures, including purchases of new school busses. The largest state aid ever allocated al-located to this district for the building program is included in the budgetary figures this year. Funds included are for repairs and additions to the Roosevelt Jr. High School, Roosevelt Elementary Elemen-tary School and Tabiona School. |
