Show Birthday Observed By Ooveromy Chapter 17, OES A regular meeting of Duver-omy Duver-omy Chapter No. 17. Order of Eastern Star, was held at the Roosevelt Masonic Temple Tuesday Tues-day evening, with Sadie Blank, of Neola, worthy matron, conducting. con-ducting. A feature of the meeting was a special candlelight ceremony commemorating the founding of Duveromy Chapter in Myton on October 23, 1923. Ila Lombard, of Jensen, past worthy matron, was in charge. Taking part were Nellie Jones. Duchesne, representing repre-senting the past; Mrs. Blank, Neola, representing the present: and Francis Nail, Vernal, representing repre-senting the future. A beautiful three-tier white birthday cake, with 29 candles and decorated in star-point colors, col-ors, red, yellow, green and blue, was carried the length of the darkened hall and displayed in the East. There were two charter members mem-bers present Essie Neal, of Vernal, past matron of Duveromy Duver-omy Chapter, and also past grand matron of the Grand Chapter. Eastern Star of Utah; and Nora Mathews, Roosevelt, past matron. Naomi Babcock sang a special spe-cial birthday song, accompanied by Sarah Jane Alspaugh, of Stil-water, Stil-water, Oklahoma. |
