Show PERSONAL SHOWER HONORS YOUNG BRIDE Miss Jonie Funk was honored at a personal shower Sept. 10 at y the W. H. Linck home, with Mrs. Charles Denver. Jr., Mrs. Lloyd Fenn and Mrs. Nile Chatwin as hostesses. Bingci, other games and preparation of a brides book weTe enjoyed by the following guests: Mrs. George Funk, mother of the bride-, Mrs. Clair Larsen of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, mother of the groom; Mrs. Pearl Jenkins, Mrs. Cecil Jenkins and Miss Kay Jenkins also of Roosevelt, Mrs. LaVor Dennis, Mrs. P. E. Church, Mrs. James Dalgleish, Mrs. H. C. Cooper, Mrs. Howard Funk, Mrs. Tolboe, Miss Nonalee Holgate, Mrs. Rex Lamb and the honor guest, Miss Funk. Delicious refreshments were served serv-ed at the close of the afternoon as ' the bride-to-be opened the many lovely gifts presented by her friends.. Mrs. Harold Rider arrived last week from Selma, Virginia to "visit "vis-it her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Ches-ter Mathisen. Mr. and Mrs.' Clyde Wing of Ogden have been guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Smith during the past week. Former residents res-idents of Myton, they have been greeting thir many old friends. Mr- and Mrs. Ray Ortega and three children of Homedale, Idaho were visitors last week at the home of Mrs. Ortega's father, Felix Fe-lix Quintana. Mrs. Rodney Perry and daughter daugh-ter Janice of Salt Lake were visitors vis-itors the past week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Al-fred Morrill. . Mr. Perry joined them for the week end and to attend at-tend the wedding of Miss Jonie Funk and Dale Larsen, Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hemphill and small daughter returned last week from a visit with Mrs. Hemphill's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Brant at Farmington. They were accompanied by Mr. Hemphill's Hemp-hill's mother, Mrs. Denzel Hemphill, Hemp-hill, who visited her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Larsen in Salt Lake. Mrs. R. H., Burdick spent a week in Vernal as a guest of Mrs. Win H. Koehler and Mrs. Ethel Martin. She -was joined Saturday by Mrs. Bliss Lott who visited there for two days. Henry Fowler, an old time resident res-ident of Myton is a visitor at the home of his son, Earl Fowler, arriving last week from Corso, Kansas. Visitors last week at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Denzel Hemphill were Mr. and Mrs. Wm R. Lewis and daughter, Mrs. Mary O'Hara and son of Denver Colo. Mrs. Lewis is a cousin of Mrs. Hemphill. Mrs. Loryn Ross and infant daughter have returned from the Roosevelt hospital. Afton Richens was taken to the Roosevelt hospital for medical attention at-tention Friday. 1 Week end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd were Mrs. Todd's uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Anderson of River-ton River-ton and Mr. and Mrs. L N. Erick-son Erick-son of Berkley Calif. They attended attend-ed the wedding of their niece, Joni Funk who bacame the bride' of Dale Larsen, Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Liddell are rejoiciing over the arrival of an infant daughter, born Saturday, September 15th at the Roosevelt hospital. The tiny miss has two sisters, Shauna and Ann, who eagerly await the return home of their mother with their new sister. sis-ter. Mrs. Ted Monks and children were visiting in Myton Saturday before returning to their home near Hayden Colorado. They had been visiting at the home of her father in Neola. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Thomas Sr. are now settled in their new residence, res-idence, the former Sarah Nielson home. They had been living ,in the old Milner home the past year. The recently completed ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ross on South Myton bench, is now being be-ing enjoyed by the Ross family. They moved into their new modern mod-ern home last week and enjoyed a week end visit from Mrs. Ross' brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Adams who came from Provo to see the new home. Frank Holgate who underwent surgery at a Salt Lake Hospital was sufficiently recovered to be returned home Saturday. Mrs. Holgate accompanied him. He will convalesce at home for some time before returning to his work. |
