' . building, built jointly by Uintah Uin-tah School District, Duchesne County School District, and direct di-rect appropriation by the United Unit-ed States Congess, is the climax of a project conceived and looked forward to by the people of the Uintah Basin for many years. Loman F. Hutchings, principal at Union High, is chairman of i the committee which arranged the program that will be presented pre-sented Saturday night. He will also be on hand to greet visitors vis-itors and conduct them througn the building. I Program for the dedication ceremony has been outlined as follows: Preliminary music. Union High School Band, Clyde Johnson, director; presiding, W. iRussel Todd, chairman of the Union High School Board; i "America," audience; invocation, Pastor William C. Trow; wel-i wel-i come, Marion A. Harrison, vice-i vice-i chairman, Union Board; remarks, re-marks, Harold M. Lundell, sup-lerintendent sup-lerintendent of Uintah School District; remarks. Dean C. Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, superintendent Duchesne Count School District; vocal numbers, Uintah H. S. Faculty Men's Quartet; remarks, Reg-maid Reg-maid O. Curry, chairman, Ute Tribal Business Committee; remarks re-marks L. F. Hutchings, principal Union High School; piano solo, Clyde Johnson; address, Dr. E. Allen Bateman; vocal solo. Grant Peel; dedicatory prayer, Archie Johnson, president Uintah Uin-tah L D S Stake. i , Preceding and following ' the program,, a conducted tour of the new building will take place. . J Members of the Union High School Board of Education include in-clude the following: W. Ru6sel Todd, chairman; Marlon A. Harrison, Har-rison, vice-chairman; R. S. Jordan, Jor-dan, treasurer; L. F. Hutchings, principal; Bette Eldredge, secretary; sec-retary; Dr. F. G. Eskelson, W. R. Harris, Superintendent Harold Har-old M. Lundell and Superintendent Superinten-dent Dean C. Christensen, members. mem-bers. Ralph Child, general contractor contrac-tor for the school, and Leland Stevenson, plumbing contractor, will be present for the occasion, as well as many school authorities authori-ties and present and past Uintah and Duchesne County School Board members. The public is invited to attend the dedication services and view the beautiful edifice, which adds much credit and prestige to the Uintah Basin. |
