Show ; Projects To Start City Lets Pipeline Contract On FJionday Neal Fugel, Pleasant Grove contractor, was the successful bidder on Roosevelt City's 8-miles 8-miles of pipeline from wells northeast of the city to the site of the storage reservoir. ' According to Mayer Homer P. Edwards, Mr. Fugel's bid was the low one of eight submitted by as many contractors, and was for $22,124. This is for digging dig-ging trench, laying? pipe, back fill and building two bridges to carry the pipe over gulches. The contract specifies that the job must be finished in 125 working days. He is expected to get started within the next 10 days'. Weather permitting, Mr. Fugel estimated he could finish the job by the first of the year. Bids were read last Monday at noon by the Council and A. C. Richards, the city's engineer for the project, was present to assist in awarding the bid. He previously had gone over the project with other contractors and engineers who had submitted submit-ted bids. In the near future, advertisement advertise-ment for bids on two other phases of the project will be made one to construct a reservoir, reser-voir, and the other to furnish pumps and build a gathering plant and pump houses. |
