Show 90 Are Willing . Chamber-Commerce SeeEis Membership A preliminary survey conducted conduct-ed during the past week by officers of-ficers and directors of the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Chamber of Commerce, revealed re-vealed that approximately 90 per cent of the business firms are ready to become members and are willing to pay dues. ' At a meeting of the executive board Tuesday night at Ross' Drive-In, where reports of the survey were heard, it was voted to conduct the membership drive next Tuesday, Dec. 4. The directors direc-tors will meet at Steve and Ned's cafe for breakfast at 8 a. m., and then make the contact that morning. At an earlier meeting of the official family of the Chamber, an annual dues of $25 per establishment es-tablishment and manager, plus $5 for each employee or partner part-ner was proposed. According to Tommy Gabbert, president, a special committee, composed of Howard Harmston. chairman, Paul Murphy and Cliff Memmott, was named to join with the Christmas committee. com-mittee. The matter of considering an executive secretary was delayed until after the annual meeting, which will be held early in January, Jan-uary, at which time five new directors di-rectors will be elected, and new officers will be named to replace re-place the present group. |
