Show Attend Midwinter Institute, Jan. 20 ' Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hullinger, George Thatcher, Mrs. Julia Kettle, Ket-tle, Mrs. Millie Hatch, Mrs. Ora Coston, Mrs. Ellen Bracken and our Billiard teachers, Mrs. Ida Phillips, Mrs. Melba Swain. Mrs. Mary Burgess and Mrs. Afton Lambert, were among' those who attended the mid-winter institute insti-tute held in Vernal Saturday, January 20. Mrs. Lawrence Brighton spent ,a few days at the home of her mother, Mrs. Charles Bingham. jShe and her new baby were re-Icently re-Icently released from the Roos-ievelt Roos-ievelt hospital. I Mr. and Mrs. Evan Olson entertained en-tertained a group of their friends at their home Saturday evening, Jan. 20. I Earl Gardner and daughter, Marjorie, were on the sick list last week. I The ward officers are spon-' spon-' soring a party at Victory Park for ward members only. Jan. 27. I The Ballard M-Men played basketball with the Alterra I team Wednesday afternoon. The I Alterra boys won. Larane Kettle, daughter of ! Mr. and Mrs Elton Kettle, who j had been sick for a week, had : a relapse and is confined to her ! bed again with flu. I Funeral services were held in the Ballard chapel Thursday i at 2 o'clock for Glen Reed, of i Ou ay. j Eldon White was one of the ' number of farmers who made the tour last week to Denver, Montrose and Rilfe, Colorado. Lynn Rasmussen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Rasmussen, who has been employed in Salt Lake City for several months, is among those who have enlisted en-listed in the armed services, Charles Bingham, who has been away from home since the early part of November, returned re-turned Sunday. Mr. Bingham was operated on at the LDS hospital in Salt Lake City, several sev-eral weeks ago, and remained in the city to be near medical care. R. Lamont Neilson, of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, was a visitor at Sunday school this week. Myra Taylor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Taylor, has been in the Roosevelt hospital. Mrs. Leland Angus and Mr. James Lewis, of Roosevelt, have I taken their father, W. Lewis, to Salt Lake City for medical I attention. Jesse Hullinger had the misfortune mis-fortune to damage his car Saturday Sat-urday while making a trip to Vernal. Mrs. Leland Angus was a substitute sub-stitute teacher at the Alterra ; seminary on January 18, while j Wendell Johnson was In Salt I Lake City. |
