Show Indian Mission Program Delayed To Mar. 31 According to James E. Bacon, president of the Uintah Basin Indian mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a change in the date of a program that will feature Dr. Sidney B. Sperry, Book of Mormon Mor-mon authority and Brigham Young University professor, has been made. Instead of Dr. Sperry Sper-ry coming to Roosevelt on Mar. 16, as announced last week, he will be here Saturday, Mar. 31. Another feature of the Mar. 31 meeting will be the appearance appear-ance of a full-blooded Indian who is a native of Old Mexico, Mike Avalenzuella, who, with his wife, is a very active member mem-ber of the L.D.S. church. He is currently engaged in stake missionary mis-sionary work and has held various var-ious stake and ward offices in the church. At present he and his wife are living in Davis county, where he is managing a housing project for the government. gov-ernment. The same public invitation will be extended to the Mar. 31 meeting as was made for the March 16 affair. |
