Show Raedleti By Mrs. Viola Jensen Parents Join With Bluebird Girls The Bluebird girls held their parents Demonstration on Tuesday afternoon in the Relief Re-lief Society room. Class president presi-dent Shirley Stoddard announced announ-ced the following program: The Home Builders' song, by the girls; Code, by Joyce Jensen; prayer, Viola Jensen; welcome greeting, Donna Land; Articles of Faith demonstration, Shirley Stoddard, Donna and Joyce Jensen; Donna Jensen explained explain-ed the meaning of the emblems em-blems on their bandlos. Light refreshments were served to everyone. Closing prayer was by Donna Jensen. Joyce Jensen played the prelude music; Shirley Shir-ley Stoddard played the post-lude post-lude music and Carolyn Stoddard Stod-dard accompanied the singing, on the piano. Hannah Harris. Primary historian, his-torian, and Primary president, Donna Pickup, and Edna Land, Jeane Etoddard and Jess Jensen Jen-sen were special guests. The Gaitherers' Bee Hive girls and their leader, Lula Dudley, took fruit and doughnuts dough-nuts to Mrs. Nanna Jarman, Tuesday evening before Mutual Mu-tual time. Carolyn Stoddard played two piano selections. Opening prayer was by Irene Jensen and Janet Durfee gave the closing prayer. The Relief Society held a work meeting Tuesday and tied four quilts for Mrs. Beth Rogers. Rog-ers. A pot-luck lunch was served. Miss Beatrice Stringham and Mrs. Lola Christensen were visitors Tuesday at the Avalon School. Mr. arid Mrs. Sheldon Lewis and family, of Vernal, and Mr. and Mrs. Norton Shelton and son, Duane. were guests on Thanksgiving Day at the home of J. E. Jensen. Miss Beatrice Chandler, of Salt Lake Oity, spent the weekend week-end visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Chandler. Neldon Wall and Miss Veda Wall spent the weekend visiting visit-ing their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wall. Mrs. Jessie Pickup, of Provo, spent the weekend visiting with her family. iStudents home from the B. Y. U. over the weekend were: Kay and Delso Durfee, Lyle Pickup and Larry Dudley. BENEFIT DANCE A benefit dance was held on Thanksgiving night. A large crowd attended and had an enjoyable en-joyable jtkne. Doughnuts and cider were sold. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Dudley and family, of Littleton, Colo., spent the Thanksgiving weekend week-end visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dudley. The Avalon M Men basketball basket-ball team played the Neola team at Roosevelt. The Avalon Explorer team played the Roosevelt ward Explorers at Roosevelt, Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Don Van Dyke and family, of Lewisrton, Utah, spent the weekend visiting at the home of Mrs. Van Dyke's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Jorgensen. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Lewis and family, of Vernal, spent Sunday visitnig at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Jensen. 'Mr. and Mrs. Era E. WilWn and family, of La Springs, Idaho, spent the w& end visiting at the home S Mrs. Wilson's parents, Mr Z Mrs. Franklin L. Jarman.' Mr. and Mrs. Earl Moo-e and son, Bryce, spent Thanksgiving visiting at the home of Mn Moohe's parents, Mr. and Mb Oscar Swett, of Greendale.
