Show Father-Daughter Have Operations In S. L. Hospital Wm. Jenkins underwent an operation at the L.D.S. hospital on Saturday. His daughter, Mrs. Lola Mitchell, of Roosevelt, went to Salt Lake to be with her father. Shortly after her arrival there she had a severe attack of appendicitis and was operated operat-ed on also. Father and daughter daugh-ter are in the L.D.S. hospital. Mrs. Eric Stolla, Jr. made a trip to Clearfield last week to receive medical care. Mrs. Erna Stolla cared for her two children chil-dren during her absence. Priesthood meeting and Relief Society convention was held Sunday afternoon at Roosevelt, with a good attendance from Ballard. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Jenkins gave a wedding dance at Bluebell Blue-bell last week, with several going go-ing from Ballard to attend it. - Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Squires made a trip to Ogden to take their daughter there for school this winter. They visited two days at Salt Lake City. also. Miss Jo Ann Todd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Todd, and Barbara Hullinger, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hullinger. Hull-inger. went to Provo on Friday to attend a Home Ec. convention, conven-tion, the girls returned home on Sunday. Clifford Drollinger, of Ioka, attended Sunday School on Sunday Sun-day morning, and was a speaker speak-er at Sacrament meeting Sunday Sun-day evening-. Bryce White and Mark Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, who are employed at Provo, were weekend visitors at home. Bryce is planning on enrolling at the B.Y.U. this coming year. Mr. and Mrs. Don Simmons, of Tridell, were callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Parrish, on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marshall took their daughter, Beverly, to Salt Lake City for a medical check-up. Beverly has been confined con-fined to her bed for several months with bright's disease. She is reported improving. Mrs. Squire Mangum made a trip to Provo over the weekend, to bring in a load of fruit. Mr. and Mrs. Max Gardner, of Roosevelt, joined us in square dancing, on Thursday evening. Misses Claudia and Collen Crane, from Salt Lake City, were visitors in Ballard over the weekend. |
