Show Mrs. Jack Harmston returned to Roosevelt Tuesday night, after af-ter spending the past several months in Reading, Penn. She was met in Salt Lake City by Mr. and Mrs. Ted Harmston. All are anxiously awaiting Jack's return home. He is expected ex-pected for Christmas. The Wayne Malms left today to spend a few days in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Florence Resse, who is 81 years old, left Salt Lake City Wednesday morning by plane to spend three months in Las Ve- gas with three daughters and a' son who reside there. She went: from here to Salt Lake by bus. j Mrs. C. L. Ashton left today for Salt Lake City to attend a tea at the governor's mansion for Mrs. Eva Ashton, Mrs. Ivy Baker Priest and Mrs. Ezra Taft Benson. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Jordan left Tuesday for Salt Lake City to meat their daughter. Joyce, who is returning from Pomona College to send the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Labrum and Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Cook returned Monday night from Salt Lake City after spending the weekend there on business. . Miss Helen Redmond is in the L D S Hospital in Salt Lake City, where she is recovering from a back operation. She will have to be there during' the holidays. Her many friends wish her a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Preece and children, Kathryn and Bill, left last week to make their home in Nephi, where Mr. Preece will be employed by the Paxton Implement Im-plement Company as a T. V. technician. Word has been received from PFC Elmer R. Summarell by his wife, Joe Ann, that he has been promoted to the rank of corporal. He is still stationed at Ladd Field, Alaska. Mrs. Sam Summarell. who has been ill for the past three weeks is much improved and up and around now. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Page left Saturday for Oakland. Calif , where they will visit indefinitely. indefinite-ly. Nancy and Bob Marimon returned re-turned this week from Occidental Occiden-tal College in California to spend the holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marimon, of Whiterocks. |
