Show Twenty-Four From Union High Attend Speech Tourney The Region Five speech meet at Carbon Junior College, April 7, witnessed participation of twenty-four speech students from Union High School, under the direction of Mrs. Virgie Murphy, speech and drama instructor. in-structor. The group who qualified by high- ratings to participate in the State Interpretative Meet at Provo on Friday, April 11, were as follows: dramatic reading, read-ing, with an excellent rating, Renee Eldredge; humorous reading, read-ing, with an excellent rating, Dorothy Deane Nixon, retold story, honorable mention, Mev-lynn Mev-lynn Ross; radio script reading, with excellent and honorable mention, respectively, Lela Bart-lett Bart-lett : and Mary Murphy; group pantomime, with an excellent rating, Karl M u r r a y, Faye Frandsen, Lloyd Carlson, Betty Anne Ross, Lorraine Price, Pauline Paul-ine McConkie, Larry Swain, Billy McLea, John Lee Zimmerman, Zimmer-man, Dawn Pace, Ronald Zir-ker Zir-ker and Melba Durfey. Results of the state meet have not been published yet.
