Show Baptist Pastor 1 6s Speaker At liliwanis Meeting I Reverend William A. Trow, j pastor of the Roosevelt Baptist I Church, was guest speaker at I the regular weekly meeting of the local Kiwanis last night, which met at the Frontier Grill Cafe. His subject was "The Resurrection Res-urrection of Christ." He also briefly outlined beliefs of the Baptist Church. The appearance of Rev. Trow in his official capacity and the opportunity of discussing Baptist Bap-tist principles is a part of the club's program of inviting various var-ious church leaders to appear as speakers and present their individual philosophies. In the near tuture a Catholic priest and a Mormon leader will be invited in-vited to appear on the program. The meeting was presided over by Floyd Peterson, president. presi-dent. Reports were heard on the Easter Egg Hunt held on Easter morning at the park. Nearly 200 youngsters joined in the search for 50 dozen colored col-ored eggs. Winner of the free airplane ride was John Larson, son of Dr. and Mrs. R. V. Larson, who found the egg that had been equipped with airplane wings. Kiwanian Clem Labrum will give John the ride in the near future. - Next week the club will have as its guest speaker Lt. Governor Gov-ernor Warwick Lameroux, of Salt Lake City. A 100 attendance at-tendance meeting is planned. |
