Show ftlelba Hichman, Jay Turner Carried In Reno Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Richman announce the marriage of their daughter, Melba, to Jay A. Turner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Turner, of Vernal. Vows were exchanged Monday, Dec. 31, in Reno, Nevada, with Justice of the Peace Laurance E. Layman, performing the ceremony. The young bride was lovely in a brown and gold metallic afternoon dress with brown accessories. ac-cessories. She had a white gardenia gar-denia corsage. Best man for the occasion was Ed Warner. The newlyweds honeymooned in San Francisco and Richmond California, and in Nevada, before be-fore returning to Roosevelt Saturday, Sat-urday, Jan. 5. The groom left Saturday evening to return to duty aboard the U.S.S. O'Brien. The new bride graduated with the class of '49 from Roosevelt High School and is employed at the Uintah Power and Light Company and the Roosevelt Theatre. Mr. Turner is a graduate of Uintah High School, Vernal, and was employed at the Hotel Vernal Vern-al prior to entering military ser-ivice ser-ivice in July, 1950. He recently returned from Korea and Japan and holds a GMSN rating. He will leave in the near future for further overseas over-seas duty. The new Mrs. Turner is making mak-ing her home in Roosevelt. |
