The new buildings was started last July and ' becomes the most modern in the firm's chain of banking offices in Eastern, Central and Southern Utah. . . Open house will be held from 9 a-m. until 8 p.m.. and ihe public is invited in-vited to join in the grand opening. Hold Open House . Commercial Bank Of Utah Opens New Office Saturday Announcement was made today to-day by P. P. Thomas, president of the Commercial Bank of Utah, that Saturday, -Dec 15, would mark the grand opening of their beautiful new Roosevelt office, which is located on the corner of Main and Lagoon streets, and is nearing completion comple-tion at a -cost in excess of $100,000. According to' Mr. Thomas, Open House will be held from 9 o'clock in the morning until 8 o'clock that evening, and a broad invitation is being extended extend-ed to the entire Uintah Basin to join with the officers, directors and employees of the company that' has offices in Roosevelt, Duchesne, Heber, Spanish Fork, Payson, Nephi and Delta, in their grand opening. Favors will be given every visitor' and re-' freshments will be 'served dur-ing dur-ing the day. The hew building, which is the last word in banking offices" -is of brick construction trimmed with cast stone and stainless steel and covers approximately 7,500 square feet. Special service facilities include night depoi-tory, depoi-tory, mail drop, drive-in teller window, employees lunch room and private consultation rooms. Ground was broken June 9, . and construction began about July 1. Except for a few brief delays caused by shortage of materials, work has progressed almost, on schedule. Original : plans were to be ready to open . the new bank about Thanksgiving. Thanks-giving. . The new bank occupies the south portion of the Commercial Bank of Utah building, and the north half houses the Modern Drug store, which had its grand opening two weeks ago. It. is owned and operated by Paul Lunt, native of Cedar City and a resident of Vernal, .where he operates the Quality Drug. Like the new bank, the Modern Drug is ultra modern in its design- ing. fixtures and furniture. The interior is decorated with scratched oak paneling and fixtures, fix-tures, with a newly, devised tellers tell-ers window unit. All of the latest lat-est features of modern day banks have been incorporated into the new structure. R. S. Jordan, of Roosevelt, will act as manager of the new bank, assisted by Robert L. . Montgomery, Paul Murphy, Wesley Wes-ley R. Dickerson, and J. O. Orser. The Commercial Bank of Utah has been operating in Roosevelt since July 1, 1951, ' when they purchased the assets of the Roosevelt State Bank. In addition to the Roosevelt Office, the Commercial Bank of Utah has a new and modern office in Duchesne, opened on August P. 1951, to better serve the Uintah Basin citizens. Since July 1, business has been carried on in the establishment establish-ment that has housed the Roosevelt Roos-evelt State Bank since the early ' twenties and is located on West Lagoon street. It has been reported re-ported that the old building will be converted into business offices. |
