Show No Protests At Bank Hearing For Duchesne City No one appeared in opposition to the establishment of a branch bank in Duchesne, Roy W. Simmons, Sim-mons, bank commisisoner for the State of Utah, heard testimony testi-mony in support of the Commercial Com-mercial Bank of Utah's application applica-tion for the establishment of a branch bank here. Spokesmen in support of the bank were Mayor Otto E. John-sen, John-sen, Florence Poulson, county treasurer; G. B. Workman, county assessor; Max Thomas, of Spanish Fork, executive vice-president vice-president of the Commercial Bank of Utah, who represented the petitioners. A decision regarding the granting of a license to the Commercial Com-mercial Bank of Utah for the establishing of a branch bank in Duchesne should be announced announc-ed at an early date, Mr. Simmons Sim-mons said. State banking officials present pres-ent at the meeting were Pratt Thomas, Spanish Fork, president of the Commercial Bank of Utah; Roy Hanson, comptroller; Robert L. Montgomery, of Pay-son, Pay-son, assistant manager of the Payson Branch, Commercial Bank of Utah, and proposed manager of the Duchesne branch and George Muir, examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Business men of Duchesne, county officials, school board officials, of-ficials, were among the group that attended the bank hearing. Mr. Montgomery, the proposed propos-ed branch bank manager for Duchesne, is a son of L. C. Montgomery, Heber City attorney. |
