Show The following ladies represented repre-sented the Roosevelt Garden club at the state convention in Orem last Sunday: Mrs. Clair Ashton, president, Mrs. R. S. Jordan, Mrs. J. P. Alsberg, Mrs. Elmer Eldredge, Mrs. Johnnie Cook, Mrs. Clem Labrum, Mrs. Gordon Harmston, Mrs. Bennie Schmiett, Mrs. Parley Rawlings, Mrs. Bob Huish, Mrs. Paul Stringham and Mrs. Cliff Mem-mott. Mem-mott. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Farrel Wilkins were their daughter, Mrs. Elmer Warner, and children, chil-dren, Darlene and Terry, who arrived a week ago from River-ton. River-ton. Wyoming. Mrs. Warner and Terry left by plane Wednesday evening to return home. Darlene will spend the summer with her grandparents. Arriving Tuesday from San Diego were another daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey C. Weiss, and son. Max, who are enroute to Ft Dodge, Iowa, to visit Mr. Weiss' father. Mrs. Wilkins plans to accompany accom-pany them to Iowa. She will be away about ten days. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Lew's apd family left this week for Logan, where Mr. Lewis will attend the summer quarter at the U.S.AC, Leaving Wednesday for Delta to visit with friends and relatives rela-tives were Mrs, Melvin Peterson and children. . 1 I Mr and Mrs. Marvin Walker 'and daughter, JoAnn, of Roos-'evelt, Roos-'evelt, and Mr. and Mrs. George i Walker, of Vernal, motored to iLinwood over the weekend to visit Mr. and Mrs. Owen Walker Walk-er and family. ! Mr. and Mrs. Ormon Wilkins, !of Washington, Ut., visited recently re-cently at the home of their daughter and son-in-law. Mr. 'and Mrs. T. A. Sullivan, and 'family. . In compliment to the Wilkins, Mr and Mrs. Orman Sullivan entertained at dinner. Friday evening. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Sullivan and children, chil-dren, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Sullivan Sulli-van and Rhea, and the honored guests. Mr. and Mrs. Don Whattcot, 'of Salt Lake City, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. George Bacon and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Alexander. Mr. and Mrs. John Roller, of Salt Lake City, are the parents of a son, born June 6 in a Salt Lake hospital- K. Dale Cummings received his Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture Monday. June 4, at graduation exercises held at U.S.A.C., Logan. There to see him receive his diploma were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cummings, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F. iC. Cummings; his brother and sister-inlaw, Mr. and Mrs. Sharon Shar-on Cummings, and family, of Lund, Nev.; and his sister, Mrs. Geneil Jensen, of Neola. Harold Murray, stationed with the Air Force at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas, has been promoted to a. private first class. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stoneking and family, of Tooele, and Mrs. Nettie Stoneking, of California, arrived Saturday to visit the Hugh Murrays. Mrs. Nettie Stoneking will spend the summer sum-mer months here. Mr. and Mrs. John Wogec, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Yack, Mrs. Ernest Roberts and Mrs. Charles Roller, Merle and Jean, attended the graduation evercis-es evercis-es at University of Utah, at which John Roller received his degree. Mr. and Mrs. Heber T. Hall and family attended graduation exercises at University of Utah over the week-end. "Their son, Lowell, was a member of the graduating class. He will leave Thursday for Oregon where he has employment for the summer months. Charlene Bellon, of Salt Lake City, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Xavier Bellon, over the week-end. Charlene and her sister. Carol, returned to Salt Lake Sunday afternoon with Ralph Harrison. Carol will attend at-tend summer school at the A.C., Logan. Leaving Monday for Salt Lake City for legislative duties was Senator Clair Ashton. He was accompanied by Mrs. Ashton. They also had spent the preced ing week there, Dr. and Mrs. Vere Johnson left last Friday for Logan, where Mrs. Johnson and children, Randy and Janice, will remain for a few months. Dr. Johnson returned home the first of the week. Dr. and Mrs. Don Johnson left Monday for a two-week vacation va-cation in southern California. Dr. Johnson visited in Logan Saturday night and witnessed the Rex Lane fight. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Andrews and children left last Saturday for Provo, where Mr. Andrews will attend summer school at the B.Y.U. They previously had spent a week in California. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Labrum, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Eldredge and Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Cook visited in Springville, Orem and Provo Sunday. The ladies attended at-tended the Garden club luncheon lunch-eon in Orem. Mrs. Ruth Fredrickson returned re-turned Sunday from Salt Lake after spending two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Junior Davis, who are the parents of a new son, named Steven Ray. Mrs. Davis is the former Lorna Rae Stoddard, Stod-dard, of Roosevelt, a niece of Mrs. Fredrickson. Leaving this week to make their home temporarily in Salt Lake City were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Mullins and sons. Boyd Gary and Chad. ' ' Springville visitors last Sunday Sun-day were Mr. and Mrs. Vean Bair and son. Glen. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Laris were Salt Lake visitors last week. Mr. and Mrs. George Pulos accompanied by their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Ms I Norval Massey, of Rangely, spent a few days in Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Nixon and family and Mrs. Neldon Nyberg were business visitors in Salt Lake City Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Leavitt were Provo and Salt Lake City visitors Sunday and Mofiday. They were accompanied as far as Provo by Mrs. Leavitt's sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Meryl Root, of Kamas. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Zimmerman Zimmer-man left Thursday to attend the International Kiwanis convention con-vention in St. Louis, Missouri. Convention dates are June 17-21.
