Show Houseguests of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Barlow this week were Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor- and daughter, Lisa, of Los Angelos. They left Wednesday evening for their home, after visiting in Roosevelt Roose-velt since Sunday, Dick Ruppel left last Saturday for Long Beach, Calif., where he will visit ten days or two weeks with a former teacher, Mrs. Holly Visel and sons at Long Beach. Mrs. Visel invited Dick to participate parti-cipate in a summer theatre which she is sponsoring. Wm. Devenish, of Provo, is in the Pleasant Valley area spraying seed growers' fields. Enjoying a trip to Salt Lake City in their new Chevrolet automobile auto-mobile last weekend were Mr. and Mrs. George Hacking and family- Margaret Turner, of Heber City, arrived last Friday to spend several sev-eral days visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Turner. Mrs. Mary Orser attended the wedding of Miss Joyce Jordan in Salt Lake City recently, and from there went to Logan to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Crockett. When Mrs- Johnny Cook and Mrs. "Homer P. Edwards took a group of girls to Logan to attend Girls' State, they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Crockett and Mr. and Mrs. Allan Johnson. Visiting at the home of Val Labrum and Homer Cook are Miles Nelson and Earl Armstrong, of Salt Lake City. The four boys will all participate in the Boy Scout encampment at Bennion Park, commencing Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Cook and Mr. and Mrs. Clem Labrum, accompanied ac-companied by Miles Nelson and Earl Armstrong, spent last Saturday Satur-day and Sunday boating and fishing fish-ing at Moon Lake. Helen Robbins has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Gary Wall at Jensen, Jen-sen, returning Sunday after a week's stay. Mrs. Gordon Harmston and daughter, Holly, left last Friday for a week's vacation trip to Colo. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Case and children, Billy and Sidney, of Iv-anhoe, Iv-anhoe, Calif., arrived Monday for a visit at the Pat Markey residence. resi-dence. Mrs. Case is Mrs. Markey's daughter. Mr. .and Mrs, Charles Edwards and son, Richard, returned Monday, Mon-day, after attending a wedding in Eugene, Ore. They also visited in Yakima and in Othello, Wash., where they stayed a few days with the Glen Gilbert family. A Salt Lake City business visitor vis-itor Monday was Marion Bowman. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Labrum and daughters, Connie and Becky returned re-turned Saturday from a trip to Yellowotone Park, Idaho, Oregon and California. Mrs. Paul G. Stringham and children, Paula and Chuck, will leave Sunday for Minnesota, where they will visit with Mrs. Stringham's relatives for two or three weeks. Congratulations to the Jack Ras-mussens, Ras-mussens, who are the proud parents par-ents of 2 new son, born Wednesday, Wednes-day, June 15, at the Roosevelt Hospital. The little fellow tipped the scales at 6 lbs. 7 oz. at birth and will be known as "Lynn." Mother and new son arrived home from the hospital Tuesday and were greeted by elated father and brothers, Lewis and Larry. Mrs. Jesse Allen, accompanied by Mrs. Minnie Angus, attended Leadership week in Provo, arriving arriv-ing home Tuesday. Making the trip with Mrs. Allen also were her granddaughters, Vickie and Fran-cine Fran-cine Allen. Mrs, Eva Gingell and daughter, Joyce, and Miss Shirley Richens, of Myton, were among the many attending Leadership week at the BYU in Provo. Mrs. Howard Roberts, of Myton, underwent an operation Tuesday morning in the Provo Valley Hospital. Hos-pital. Reports are that she is getting get-ting along fine. Mr. and Mrs. B. W. (Curly) Clark, of Tucson, Ariz., arrived last Friday for a week's visit at the home of Mrs. Erma Labrum. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Grivet, of Kemmemer, Wyo. were visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Grivet over the weekend. This was the first time in several years the brothers had seen each other. |
