Show New MIA Officers Are Sustained Cecil Jenkins was released as president of the Ballard ward Y.M.M.I.A., Sunday evening at Sacrament meeting. Released with him were Ned Gines, counselor, coun-selor, and Lynn Bracken, secretary. secre-tary. Vaughn Simper was sustained to replace Mr. Jenkins. His counselors coun-selors and a secretary will be named later. Ballard ward Relief Society conference was held Sunday evening, eve-ning, with President Minnie Angus An-gus conducting. Mrs. E. J. Nixon and Mrs. Vere Johnson, of the Roosevelt stake board, were present. pres-ent. Theme of the conference was given by Evelyn Brighton; talk, Myrtle Winn; scriptural reading, Telintha Rasmussen; talk, Julia Kettle. Ardis Kettle led the congregation in a scriptural scrip-tural quotation, and the Singing Mothers presented several selections. se-lections. A genealogical meeting was held in the chapel last Tuesday evening, with a good number in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Turner received word one day last week that one of their sons had been killed in his home in Price. They left for Price immediately. Tony Garcia is under treatment treat-ment in a Salt Lake City hospital. |
