Show Mrs. Opal Dillman went to Salt Lake City Monday with her brother and sister-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. Nolan Beaird, of Vernal. She returned Thursday Thurs-day night with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Collingham, who came out to go deer hunting. Week end guests at the J. D. Walker home were Dix Grace, Gerald Cooper and Jimmy Jim-my Stevenson, who arrived last week end from Nephi for the big deer hunt. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Ashton visited in Vernal Sunday witn Mr. Ashton's mother, Mrs. Leslie Les-lie Ashton. Mr. and Mrs. Van Winterton and family were Provo visitors Sunday. They took Eldon back to B.Y.U. studies, after he had enjoyed the week end at home. Mr. and Mrs. Georffe Pulos and daughter, Maria, accompanied accompan-ied by Carol Memmott. spent several days in' Salt Lake City i recently. ' Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson and family spent from Friday to Tuesday visiting in Springville. Mrs. Robert Montgomery and children returned home Tuesday after spending several days visiting vis-iting in Salt Lake City with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Winterowd, who accompanied accompan-ied her back to Roosevelt for a brief visit. A group of friends gathered at the Hollis Hullinger home last Sunday, where they were entertained en-tertained by piano numbers by Mrs. Hullinger's sister, Marquita Goodrich, of Vernal. Mrs. Ned Bellon and her parents par-ents Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Workman, Work-man, of Duchesne, returned early ear-ly Tuesday morning from Lawn Dale, where the Workman's granddaughter, Sharie Goody, died very suddenly from polio. Funeral services were held in Clarkston, Utah, where the family fam-ily had lived prior to moving recently to Lawn Dale. Mrs. Omni Winterton spent several days last week assisting at the home of Mrs. H. F. Winterton, Win-terton, at Woodland, where the latter is very ill. Before returning return-ing home, Mrs. Winterton did some shopping in Salt Lake City. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Snow is Mrs. Snow's mother, Mrs. L. J. Ol-sen, Ol-sen, of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Elmer Roberts, Salt Lake City, Mrs. Sylvia Allred. Gusher, Mrs. Fay Peterson, and Mrs. Charles Edwards and son, Rick-ie, Rick-ie, visited at the home of Mrs. Delia Roberts one day durins the week. ' Mr. and Mrs. Don Whatcott and family, of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bacon and Billy, of Burley, Idaho; and Jack Bess and son, Dick, of Murray, arrived Friday to visit at the George Bacon home before be-fore going on a deer hunt. Mr. and Mrs. Max Owen entertained en-tertained Wednesday evening at a birthday dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Denny Martin. The occasion occa-sion honored Mr. Martin on his birthday anniversary. t John Ruppel, son of Wm. H. Ruppel, Jr., and Glenn Bair. son of Mr. and Mrs. Vean Bair, arrived ar-rived home Thursday night to spend the week end. They left late Monday afternoon to resume their studies" at Wasatch Academy, Acad-emy, Mt. Pleasant. Glenn joined his parents on a deer hunt while here. Fred Ferron, president of the Raven Mining Co., left Sunday for Chicago on official business. He is expected back in time to serve on the Grand Jury called for session Monday morning in Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hig-gins Hig-gins visited Saturday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Lambert. Mrs. Higgins is the former Marilyn Lambert. Beverley White, of Tremonton, and David Alexander, stationed at Hill Field with the Air Force are visiting at the home of David's parents, Mr. and Mrs Marion Alexander. David will spend a 21-day furlough with his parents before returning to his base. Mr. and 'Mrs. John Gale and son motored to Helper over the week end-4o go deer hunting. , Jack Bacon, AN, U. S. Navv stationed at Moffatt Field. Cal.' arrived home Friday to spend a 20-day leave with his parent Mr. and Mrs. George Bacon.
