Show Altonah Mrs. Ethel Beebe Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Ames visited in Duchesne one day last week. Cleon Watterson, who spent the winter at outside points, returned re-turned during the week. Mr. and Mrs. George Berrett have moved to Altamont. Charley Timothy left Wednesday Wednes-day to work at Bonanza. James, John and Dan Clark, of Bonanza, visited their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Clark, last week. The Altonah M.I.A. recently staged three one-act plays, "May in June,". "Down in the Heart of Texas," and "Little Darling." The second play was chosen for the Stake contests to be held in the near future. Judges were Mrs. Lola Jones, Mrs. Marion Reese and Mrs. Adeline Anderson. Ander-son. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Clark went' to Vernal and Artesia Monday with Gilbert Chatwin, of Tabiona. ' Leona Bird, of Bluebell, was an overnight guest Thursday of Barbara Anderson. Glendon Maxfield, of Vernal visited Thursday and Friday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Maxfield, and other relatives. rel-atives. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Swa-sey, Swa-sey, of Boneta, spent Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll. Car-roll. Louie Bowden was in Salt Lake the fore-part of the week to visit his mother, Mrs. Mary Bowden, who has just been released re-leased from the hospital and is convalescing at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Warren Foote. Reed Lyons, of Mtn. Home, visited here Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Beebe. of Ogden, and Oscar Beebe, of Duchesne, called Saturday at the Gilbert Beebe home. A baby girl was born April 20 to Mr. and Mrs. George Payne, of Salt Lake. Mrs. Payne is the former Mary Lue Beebe, of Altonah. A surprise party was held at Mrs. Dora Berd's home, Saturday Satur-day evening, in honor of her birthday anniversary. Canasta was played, and refreshments were served to 16 guests. Willis Potter and Claude McDonald, Mc-Donald, Stake high councilmen. spoke Sunday at Sacrament meeting. Barbara Smiths and Dale Carroll Car-roll accompanied the Altamont Seminary graduation class to Salt Lake City, Sunday. A party was given Saturday at the Dennie Ralphs home, in honor of Mrs. RalDhs' birthdav. Enjoying an evening of Canasta and refreshments were Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Powell, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Drue Allred, Mr. and Mrs. Al-don Al-don Carroll, Vendetta Clark, Dora Berd, and the Ralphs. Eldora and Joyene Clark returned re-turned last week from a visit in Keetley and Heber. Mr. and Mrs. Lott Powell made a business trip to Price, Wednesday. |
