Roosevelt was third, followed Tabiona, with 11 points, and :amont with three. Duchesne I not field a team. Jintah's power was predom-Jit predom-Jit from the beginning. The U ;s grabbed an early lead, and, K spite stiff opposition, were V'1 vcr headed. The Roosevelt ugh Riders did well in the ltesls they entered, but par-ipated par-ipated only in ,about half the :nts. 3on Horrocks and Don Sny- took first and second place, fpectively, in the discus, while )tyder bested the field in the )ad-jump, with 20 ft. 6 in. e Rider 880-yard relay team, uposed of John Benson, Kay mpbell. Ken Nickell. and Ron mean, picked up an easy vic-y vic-y when the Uintah squad , iqualified. it I'Roosevelt's Benson grabbed yglU ird place in the 100-yard dash; Max Lawson took third in the mile. By virtue of their show at the district, Roosevelt will send 10 men to the region track meet, May 5, at Price. They are Snyder, Sny-der, broad-jump, discus; Horrocks, Hor-rocks, discus; Duncan, relay, 220; Ray Broderick, pole vault, relay; Lawson, mile; Nickell, broad-jump, relay; Benson, 220, 100; Campbell, relay; Don Kil-lian, Kil-lian, high jump, relay; and Clark Morrill, 220, 100. Jack McLea and Scott Nickell will compose the tennis team. For Alterra, Walkup took second in the high hurdles; Curry, Cur-ry, first, pole-vault, 10 feet; Rasmussen, second, mile; Curry, first, 440-yard dash, :57.7; Philips, Phil-ips, third, discus; Curry, tied for second", high-jump; Searle, second, sec-ond, 100-yard dash; H u b e r, third, javelin; Jorgenson, third, low hurdles; Searle, first, 220-yard 220-yard dash, :24.1; Phillips, Bodily, Bod-ily, Morrill, Curry, first, mile relay, 3:56.
