Colin Murdock, of Fort Duchesne, is among the first members of the 40th Infantry Division to he awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge,' symbol of the front line fighting fight-ing man. since the unit's arrival in Korea. The badge shows a miniature Revolutionary War flintlock rifle ri-fle mounted against a blue rectangle rec-tangle which is surrounded by a wreath. The 40th, a National Guard unit from Southern California, was the first organization of its kind to arrive overseas after the start of the Korean conflict.
