Show Mt. Emmons Dearie Case A delightful operetta "The Windmills of Holland," was presented pre-sented Monday night, March 20, by the 8th grade and their music mu-sic teacher. Mrs. Edythe Hansen. Han-sen. Leading roles were sung by Billy Powell, Pauline Winkler, Wink-ler, JoAnn Goodrich, G a y 1 e Case, Robert Clark, Gary Jes-sen, Jes-sen, Hal McDonald and Lois Sadler. All members of the cast and chorus were attired in Dutch costumes and wooden shoes. Mrs. Opal Gomm, third grade teacher, painted appropriate appro-priate Dutch scenery for the production. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ross, of Alberta, Canada, and Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Hansen, of Salt Lake City, spent most of the week with the Hansen's sons, Eyan and Linden, and their families. Mrs. Ross is a cousin of Mrs. C. A. Hansen. The J. M. Wirthlins have traded their farm here for a place in Murray. The new owners, own-ers, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Sned-egar, Sned-egar, arrived the first of last week to take over. Stake and ward officers who attended the four-stake M.I.A. I convention in Duchesne Saturday Satur-day evening were FaryelJ Mphl-man, Mphl-man, Mrs. Edgar Miles, Deane Case, Willard B. Mecham Mr. and Mrs. George Mendenhall, Mrs. Delmar Mecham, Mrs. Bernard Ber-nard Dastrup, Jean Mecham, Dorothy Hansen, Colleen Orr, Don Evans, Glenn Case and George Case, Work has begun on the theater the-ater being built by Leland Stevenson Stev-enson in the Altamont townsite. Grant Hansen has the contract for the building, Fred and Orlan Cook, of Roosevelt, were Mt. Emmons business visitors Friday. While here they visited their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case. Lynn Hansen has purchased the Dean Cox home, now occupied oc-cupied by Mr. and Mrs, James Babcock. Guest speaker at Sacrament meeting, Sunday afternoon, was Junior Fausett of the Ioka ward. Other parts which contributed to the interest of the meeting included a talk by Lynnetta Bird, of Bluebell, vocal solo, Lucy Powell, Bluebell: and a vocal solo by Mrs. George Mendenhall. Men-denhall. Mrs. Mary A. Case, age 83, became a great-great-grandmother, March 26. A long distance call from her granddaughter, Mrs. Virginia Neal Reid, of Santa Paula, Calif., informed Mrs. Case of her new title. The parents of Mrs. Case's gireat-great-grandson are Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Reid. |
