'I State To Be Represented, Also Salt Lake Chamber Of Commerce The Colorado River Development Develop-ment committee voted Friday vii Salt Lake City to send a l-man delegation to the April 3 Echo Park - Split Mountain Kiearing. They are B. H. String-iam, String-iam, committee chairman; May-jr May-jr P. L. Jones, of Nephi; Er-tiest Er-tiest Untermann, director of the Vernal Field House of Natural VSistory; and Dr. J. L. Broaddus, .Vsalt Lake City naturalist. Weston E. Hamilton, assistant assist-ant manager of the Salt Lake 3ity Chamber o f Commerce, s-ivill go to the hearing to appear ap-pear for that organization in support of the projects. Official I state representatives will be v.Harold A. Linke, state engineer, and Clinton D. Vernon, attorney general. j The 21-county committee I idopted a resolution designating V tie Colorado River Upper Ba- sin commission as the top agency agen-cy presenting the case in favor of the project, and all testimony will be screened by the group, which represents all the upper basin states. The 21-county committee adopted an operating budget of $12,700 to be raised by assessment assess-ment on the member counties. The assessment will be based on valuation, population, and direct benefits to be derived from activities of the organization. |
